Luna Gale, written by playwright Rebecca Gilman, follows veteran social worker Caroline as she tries to safeguard baby Luna Gale, whose drug-addicted teenage parents are accused of neglecting her. The play, which explores the complicated issues social workers have to deal with, marks the opening of Aurora Theatre's 26th season. Stage veteran Jamie Jones plays Caroline; her previous work at Aurora Theatre includes performances in Mud Blue Sky and the company's hit production of Edward Albee's A Delicate BalanceThe New York Timescalls Luna Gale "smart and absorbing... an engrossing exploration of the tough choices welfare workers contend with daily."
