Jonathan Safran Foer (Author) is the author of three award-winning internationally best-selling novels: Everything Is Illuminated, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (both Houghton MIfflin) and Here I am (FSG) as well as two works of nonfiction: Eating Animals and The New American Haggadah (both Little Brown). He won The Guardian Book Price for his devut novel, was included in Granta's "Best of Yound American Novelists" issue as well as The New Yorker's "20 under 40" list of the best young writers in the US; and his books are published in over 30 languages. Here I am was longlisted for the International Dublin Literary Award for 2018. His next book, We Can Save the World Before Dinner, will be publised by FSG in Septemeber 2019.

Simon Block (Playwright) is a playwright and screenwriter. His work for theatre includes: Not a Game for Boys (Royal Court); Chimps, Hand in Hand and Everything is Illuminated (Hampstead Theatre); A Place at the Table (Bush Theatre); and 1/25th of the National Theatre Chain Play (National Theatre). His work for television includes: North Square (Channel 4); Trust (BBC1); The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall (Channel 4); Casualty 1909 (BBC1); The Eichmann Show (BBC 2); Home Fires (ITV). He wrote the film The Physician.

Adam Burch* (Alex/Sofiowka) is a Bay Area Native and a UC San Diego Grad. He has appeared on the stages of the La Jolla Playhouse, studied Shakespeare at BADA’s Mid-Summer in Oxford program, and completed A Noise Within’s professional internship. Assisted Directors Randall Arney (Take Me Out - West Coast Premiere) and Gil Cates (Paint Your Wagon) at The Geffen Playhouse. Recent performances include Akuma-Shin at Sacred Fools’ Theatre, and Arrival & Departure at The Fountain Theatre in LA. Last year, Adam played Donkey from Shrek in Donkey Live! at Universal Studios Singapore while writing two sci-fi novels, Song of Edmon and Roar of the Storm. Catch him on Netflix re-runs of ABC’s Scandal or the cult classic Nazis at the Center of the Earth.

Lura Dolas* (Woman) is honored to return to the Aurora where she was last seen as Queen Atossa in The Persians, as Amanda in The Glass Menagerie, Simone Weil in The Panel, and Angie in Abigail’s Party. Lura’s acting credits include roles with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland and in fourteen seasons with Cal Shakes playing such roles as Cleopatra, Titania, Gertrude, Lady M., Kate, and Beatrice. She is a Lecturer Emerita at the University of California, Berkeley, where for three decades she directed and taught acting in the Department of Theater, Dance and Performance Studies.

Jeremy Kahn* (Jonathan) is thrilled to return to Aurora where he previously appeared in Dry Powder and Wittenberg. Other theatre work includes: Office Hour (Berkeley Rep/Long Wharf), peerless (Marin Theatre Co), Bad Jews (Capital Stage), Peter and the Starcatcher (TheatreWorks), 1 2 3, Tigers Be Still, The Fantasticks (San Francisco Playhouse), Tortilla Curtain (San Diego Rep), The Liar, Baskerville, It Shoulda Been You (Center REP), Another Way Home (Magic Theatre), and The Rover (Shotgun Players). TV and film: Looking, Unleashed, The Etruscan Smile and Dirt. He holds a B.F.A. from The Theatre School at DePaul University.

Marissa Keltie* (Brod and other characters) is very excited to be working with Aurora Theatre for the first time. She recently performed at Jewel Theatre in Silent Sky and Harper Regan. Also seen in Trouble Cometh and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest with San Francisco Playhouse, Uncle Vanya (which she co-adapted and performed as a benefit for Doctors Without Borders) and Carnival Round the Central Figure with Symmetry Theatre, Terminus at Magic Theatre, Circle, Mirror, Transformation and Bellwether at Marin Theatre Company. Other theatrical productions with Cal Shakes, Shotgun Players, Crowded Fire, Custom Made, Central Works, California Theatre Center, Berkeley Playhouse, & Impact Theatre. Love you Archie.

Julian López-Morillas* (Grandfather/Yankel) is familiar to Aurora audiences for his appearances over the past twenty years in productions including The Aspern Papers, Nora, The Dance of Death, Hedda Gabler, The Homecoming, The Weir, Partition, Ice Glen, The Birthday Party, The Master Builder, and most recently as Geronte in The Heir Apparent. He has also worked extensively at the Berkeley Rep, A.C.T., the Berkeley Shakespeare Festival/Cal Shakes and many other local theatres. Julian has appeared professionally in all 38 of Shakespeare’s plays and is well known as a Shakespeare teacher and scholar. He was a two-day winner on Jeopardy!
